1. Write as much content as you can

Content is the traffic creator and diverter. The more content you write on your website, the more chances of it ranking on search engines—but obviously with all the other factors in place. If you write more content, Google’s algorithm believes that the webpage is relevant and genuine. Putting more content on your webpage ensures that people will enter your website to read and share it, which in turn means—more traffic.


2. Choose your keywords properly

This is another important factor in terms of climbing the SEO ladder. If your keywords are in place, then you can rest assured of the traffic. You have put the most relevant content available on the Internet, but if the keywords are incorrect then your website will plunge to the bottom.

E.g. If your article is talking about ‘amazon rainforest’ but your keyword is just ‘amazon’, Google might confuse your article for the Amazon shopping website. People may search for amazon and land on your website which is about the amazon rainforest; people will click back immediately and this will create a negative impact on your SEO.


3. Post more content

You need to post more and more content to ace your SEO. Meaning, you have to be regular with posting content on your website. If you post one article in a month, this will not at all help you to boost your SEO. Content need not be only written articles or blogs; it can also be videos, memes, or stories to keep your webpage active. Posting every day with proper keywords will ensure your page sustains its strong SEO competition.

4. Create engaging content

When we said that you need to put content every day and put a lot of content, don’t even think of putting content just for the sake of it. The best example that I can think of for this is a restaurant. Now, needless to say, that a single restaurant in your local area cannot deliver food from Colaba to Trombay, or Elphinstone road to Sandhurst road. So, demographics are really important to promote your product or service in the geographic area that you want.


6. Boost your post properly

Whenever you boost an ad, you need to make sure that the factors for promoting it are in place; like age group, gender, interests, demographics etc. Also, sometimes you have to boost the ad on a specific time and not 24x7. Initially, you may have to but then there is no point of boosting an ad for 2:00 or 4:00 am, it will be a waste.


7. Respond to customer’s comments

Whenever you see that there are comments which are unattended on the website or social media account, reply to it immediately. Firstly, it is rude not to reply to someone and secondly, this will create a sense of responsibility in your customers. It will make them feel that they are heard and not ignored, which in turn will build trust in them. Even if the comment is a bad review, show that you are taking care of it and offering some customer service.


8. Be a unique marketer

There are numerous digital marketing agencies in Bombay and if you follow them and do as they do, you are not doing anything different; and why should the customer choose you over the others? Create different content strategies and try them, let others copy you and not the other way around. You need to be different and unique, even though you are doing the same thing as everyone else—digital marketing.
